Udayji was one of the Great Artists of Kannada Film Industry. He was a great scholar. He has left richest culture behind him. We had shared the screen space in many films. Each character played by Udayji was a Milestone and Watching his Performance is like reading a text book for the learners of acting.

"Kumaratrio" were my very close friends. Uday's pronunciation and Kannada Language was Excellent. He was an Icon. We have enacted in many films. I was a fan of him watching him performance in Films like "Vijayanagarada Veeraputra", "Amarashilpi Jakanachari". He was my Hero in 2 Tamil Films "Yaanai Pagan" and "Sengotai Singam". He should be remembered forever for his achievements, by us. Government should honour him suitably.

In the year 1959-60 I met Udaykumar. I used to address him as Anna. It was my luck he liked me very much. I requested Udayanna to take me to madras and provide me a job. He introduced me to Mr G. V. Iyer. I started working as Assistant Director in the film called "Thayi Kalaru". Anna was the hero. Udayanna has changed my Name from "Swamy" to "Ravi".
